The Department of Comparative, Diagnostics, and Population Medicine at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Florida, invites applications for a clinical or tenure track full-time faculty position at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor in Small Animal Integrative Medicine, with an emphasis on canine sports medicine and rehabilitation. Applicants must have a DVM or equivalent degree. Preferred qualifications include experience in clinical practice and research related to rehabilitation and sports medicine, and training in clinical nutrition, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and acupuncture. The appointee will join a part-time ACVSMR and ACVN diplomate faculty, a part-time acupuncture faculty, one full-time integrative medicine lecturer, an ACVSMR resident, two specialty interns, and four service technicians. The service is located in a comprehensive teaching hospital and referral center with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment including an indoor pool, underwater treadmills, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, and a dedicated integrative medicine treatment area. Clinical duties include management of integrative medicine cases providing clinical service in the Veterinary Hospital. Teaching responsibilities include participation in the integrative medicine clerkship, professional curriculum, and training of residents and interns. Supervision of the ACVSMR residency-training program is expected. Opportunities for independent or collaborative research activities exist. The appointee is expected to be involved in professional outreach, committee service, and curriculum development. Rank and salary will be based upon the successful candidate’s professional qualifications and experience.
