The Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology is seeking applicants for a Fellow (Post Doc). The purpose of this position is to strengthen and enhance the development of my independent research program and to support the advancement of our growing Epidemiology research group.

Job Description:

- Develop and support collaborative research on livestock health and food safety issues
- Tasked to develop ideas, develop requests for research funding
- Design and implement projects
- Analyze and interpret data
- Disseminate new knowledge and tools resulting from research
- Manage study animals, research data, students and staff and other research resources
- Lead and support activities for enhancing research funding, including literature review/management, identifying and reviewing requests for proposals, and writing text for grants/contracts/proposals/protocols

Required Minimum Qualifications:

-PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, or related fields
-Analysis of population data
-Research and publications on livestock health, performance, economics, or food safety
-Knowledge and/or experience in Risk analysis
-Documented skills in study design, statistical analysis, and interpretation of data/results
-Ability to contribute to grant writing and other mechanisms of developing research funding
-Communication skills with students and staff of various backgrounds
