LMU-CVM Shelter Veterinarian at the SPCA Serving Erie County LMU-College of Veterinary Medicine

The LMU-CVM Shelter Veterinarian, and Assistant Professor of Veterinary Medicine, in cooperation with the SPCA Serving Erie County (SPCA), will provide strategic leadership and promote excellence in all phases of clinical instruction to fourth year veterinary students on the Small Animal Primary Care/Shelter Medicine, Surgery and Dentistry rotation at the SPCA. The LMU-CVM Shelter Veterinarian will supervise the fourth year veterinary students during this rotation. In coordination with the SPCA, the LMU-CVM Shelter Veterinarian will develop and administer a curriculum for students to gain experience in shelter medicine, companion animal primary care, preventive care, wildlife, epidemiology, surgery, routine dentistry, animal behavior, animal welfare, case reporting, and presentation of cases in rounds.
