The Ohio State University (OSU) Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCC) and the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) invite applications for five faculty positions in key thematic areas of cancer and cancer-related research in support of an ongoing collaboration initiative to advance human and animal health.

The successful candidates for the tenure track immunology and two oncology positions are expected to establish and/or maintain extramurally funded research programs, and train graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. These Assistant or Associate Professor positions provide the opportunity to conduct basic and translational research, and collaborate with scientists and clinicians in the CVM, College of Medicine and Nationwide Children’s Hospital as well as the comparative Clinical Trials enterprise at both the CCC and Veterinary Medical Center.

The successful candidates for the clinical pathology and laboratory animal pathology clinical track Assistant or Associate Professor positions are expected to provide clinical and research pathology support services within the Veterinary Medical Center Clinical Diagnostic Laboratories and the Comparative Pathology & Mouse Phenotyping Shared Resource, respectively. These units serve the CVM, CCC and greater biomedical community at OSU and beyond, and offer extensive opportunities for scholarship.

Faculty have access to the many centers, institutes, core facilities and shared resources, as well as the Technology Commercialization Office on campus. In addition to collaborations within the Colleges of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, there are clinical/translational collaboration opportunities within the OSU Wexner Medical Center, James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, CCC, Davis Heart and Lung Research Institute, the Center for Clinical and Translational Science, as well as at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. A broad array of shared resources is available nearby and across the University campus to support basic, translational and clinical research.

The Health Sciences campus at The Ohio State University is comprised of all major health science professions: Pharmacy, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, Optometry, Nursing, Allied Medical Professions, Public Health and Biomedical Sciences. These academic units are located in close proximity on OSU’s Columbus campus along with the CCC, College of Engineering, College of Arts and Sciences, Mathematical Biosciences Institute, Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center, Institute for Materials Research, Center for Retrovirus Research, Infectious Disease Institute, and Drug Development Institute among others.

Columbus, Ohio’s capital and largest city, offers a convenient lifestyle with affordable housing and easy commutes. Residents enjoy many amenities of the city including professional sports teams, museums, outstanding restaurants, performing arts, parks, as well as unique boroughs and neighborhoods.
Applicants should include a statement of research interests, a current curriculum vitae and the name and contact information of three references. Initial enquiries will be kept confidential. More information is available at https://vet.osu.edu/biosciences/open-faculty-positions. Review of applications will begin April 1st and continue until the positions are filled.
