    The Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology with the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking applicants for a Fellow (Post Doc.) This postdoctoral position is to apply structural vaccinology to identify optimal antigenic components and to develop broadly protective multivalent vaccines against bacteria, mainly enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) which cause diarrhea in children and travelers.

    This position is responsible for planning and carrying out research projects led by the principal investigator in this laboratory. This person shall work closely with the principal investigator and researchers from other institutes. This postdoc shall apply state-of-art and innovative techniques of microbiology, molecular biology and vaccinology to carry out research projects.

    Required Minimum Qualifications:
    PhD of microbiology, molecular biology, immunology, or vaccinology, degree received within the last 4 years.
    Candidate has vaccine development against enteric bacterial or viral pathogens
    Candidate must have knowledge and skills of general microbiology, molecular biology, structural & computational biology, immunology and vaccinology, including (but not limit to) chimeric gene construction, protein expression and purification, protein characterization, protein modeling, bacterial and cell culture, serological testing, animal immunization via various routes, antibody titration and neutralization activity characterization, animal challenge studies, and vaccine efficacy assessment.
    Candidate should also have good oral and written communication skill, ability to effectively analyze data, to present results and to draft manuscripts. Good interpersonal skills are also need
