Assistant Professor, Public Health position at Tufts University
The Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University invites applications from experienced individuals to join the Department of Infectious Disease and Global Health (IDGH), with programs in infectious disease and international health, wildlife and conservation medicine.
The ideal candidate will hold a veterinary degree (DVM or VMD) and master’s degree in public health (medical or veterinary MPH) and/or advanced research degree MS/PhD, along with substantial expertise in teaching/directing DVM students in an MPH (Med/Vet) degree course. Experience in grant-writing and program development skills are highly desirable.
The candidate will help promote a team approach to problem solving through scientific research, teaching and service. This includes the establishment of a funded research program; teaching core and elective courses in the veterinary medical and graduate training programs; supervising, training and mentoring students; serving on faculty committees; and contributing to community service initiatives and public health outreach. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a benefits package.
