FACULTY POSITION – Neuroscience and Reproductive Biology
Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant Professor in the Section of Neuroscience and Reproductive Biology, in the Department of Biomedical Sciences.
As a research faculty member, the candidate will be expected to develop a research program, establish collaborative projects and obtain some salary support, and associated indirect costs, from externally sponsored grants and contracts. In addition, the individual will be expected to participate in DVM/Graduate teaching. A small percentage of time will be devoted to faculty affairs and committee service.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a PhD with a minimum of 3-5 years of postdoctoral training with a research focus in the areas of behavioral neuroscience, with special consideration given to work in addiction. Experience in the area of intravenous drug self-administration models and transgenerational epigenetics is desirable. A history of extramural funding is required, and preference will be given to applicants with established research programs. Experience in teaching is needed; topics of interest include cell biology, neuroanatomy, pharmacology, or physiology.
