    Faculty Position in Anesthesiology and Pain Management 


    The Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University invites applications for two clinical track positions in the Section of Anesthesiology and Pain Management. Candidates must have a DVM or equivalent degree and should be board certified by the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia or the European College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia. Candidates with a completed residency but not yet board certified will also be considered. The candidates will be expected to engage in collaborative, clinical or translational research. An interest in pain mechanisms or management is desirable, as well as a focus on student and resident teaching. 


    The successful candidates will become part of a group composed of six faculty, five residents, twelve veterinary technicians, and a dedicated scheduler who work in a modern, well-equipped teaching hospital with a diverse large and small animal caseload. 


    Responsibilities will be determined in accordance with the service needs, academic priorities, and the candidate’s areas of research expertise within the specialty of anesthesia. Effort will be distributed among clinical teaching and service in the Cornell University Hospital for Animals, research, and didactic and laboratory instruction of veterinary students and residents.

    Salary Range-Clinical Track - $130,000 to $180,000
