Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University invites applications for a part-time (.50FTE) clinical-track faculty position in Emergency & Critical Care (ECC), subject to annual renewal. We seek an enthusiastic, team-oriented clinician who will provide outstanding medical care to patients, their families, and our referring veterinarians, and this person must strive to advance the discipline of critical care medicine in intensive care and emergency medicine. This position has been created to allow the ECC service to operate a rotating schedule that allows faculty to maintain an appropriate work/home balance. We are looking for a new team member who is committed to managing complex cases, enhancing student learning and house officer training, and developing new approaches to case management and clinical education.
The selected candidate should enjoy intern and resident mentoring and is expected to assist with boards review sessions, journal club, and communications training. This position focuses on clinical service and clinical teaching within the Foster Hospital.
Requirements include a DVM degree or its equivalent and completion of an American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) or European College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ECVECC) residency. Preference will be given to individuals who are ACVECC/ECVECC board certified. Rank and salary will be commensurate with training and experience, and resident mentoring experience will be highly valued.
The individual selected for this position will join the ECC team at the Foster Hospital for Small Animals in North Grafton, MA, and we aim to further enhance the strong reputation of the team in the areas of clinical service, student teaching, and resident training.
This position is available immediately. Applicants should submit materials through the Interfolio link (http://apply.interfolio.com/53986) which includes a letter of intent outlining areas of interests, experience and qualifications, current curriculum vitae, and the names of three professional references.
