The Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences (JCC) has established a six-year Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) Programme in Hong Kong and has provisional accreditation with the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council, and is on track for full accreditation with graduation of the first BVM cohort in 2023. This young, vibrant veterinary school has its mission to be one of the top 20 veterinary schools internationally within 20 years. We are looking for competent, enthusiastic veterinary clinicians with a passion for teaching evidence-based veterinary medicine and clinical skills to the next generation of veterinarians, to join our team.
The professional veterinary Scientific Officer will contribute to the teaching of undergraduate veterinary students with a focus on clinical skills training, clinical laboratories and clinical rotations. Duties include to:
A PhD in Veterinary Sciences and not less than 5 years’ working experience in a veterinary environment. Experience as a laboratory scientist is essential, preferably with teaching and training experience.
Additional qualifications or experience in veterinary education would be an advantage.
Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes.
