The Department of Veterinary Integrative Biosciences, College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer faculty position with a 9-month academic appointment. Teaching duties may be required during the 10-week summer session for extra compensation. The occupants of these positions will be expected to devote up to 100% effort to teaching. These are renewable positions with advancement opportunities to Senior Lecturer and Principal Lecturer.
Primary teaching responsibilities will focus on delivering writing-intensive courses that are discipline specific to the Biomedical Sciences (BIMS) undergraduate students. The BIMS program—one of the largest majors at Texas A&M University—is designed to give students a strong foundation in the biomedical sciences that allows them to pursue professional and graduate school programs, as well as careers in biomedical fields.
Successful candidates must have a B.S. in a relevant biomedical science field and a proven track record of accomplishment in an applied setting. An advanced degree in science communication or a related discipline is highly desirable. Candidates should have a clear record of undergraduate teaching excellence, experience with writing-intensive course instruction, and a passion for teaching.
Salary will be commensurate with training and experience.
