The Department of Veterinary Integrative Biosciences (VIBS) in the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS) at Texas A&M University invites applications for two 11-month instructional-track Assistant or Associate Professor faculty positions (non-tenure track) to teach gross anatomy in both the DVM and undergraduate Biomedical Sciences program at the College Station Campus.
The successful candidates will be expected to devote 80-85% effort to teaching and 15-20% effort to scholarship and service. Scholarship may include collaborative research and/or scholarship of teaching in his or her area of interest. Documented records of prior productivity in research and/or teaching scholarship should be included if available. The successful applicant will join an active, clinically relevant anatomy teaching group with expertise in all aspects of veterinary anatomy and a department dedicated to excellence in teaching and scholarship. Departmental faculty demonstrate expertise in both teaching and scholarship in the areas of biomedical genetics, epidemiology, neuroscience, public health, reproductive biology, science and technology journalism, and toxicology.
Applicants must hold either a DVM or PhD degree and be capable of delivering highly effective and innovative anatomy instruction that is student centered. Documentation of teaching should demonstrate prior responsibility for both course lecture and laboratory teaching, as well as a strong record of teaching excellence. Previous experience teaching comparative anatomy including clinically oriented large animal anatomy is highly desired.
Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with training and experience.
