The Department of Physiology and Pharmacology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia is expanding our teaching faculty to meet the needs of our growing educational programs. We seek an energetic and innovative educator to teach upper-level undergraduate students in our new Biomedical Physiology program. This individual will teach the equivalent of two to three 3-credit hour courses per academic term, participate in the development of new course materials, and supervise teaching assistants. There may also be opportunities to advise undergraduate students, to contribute to our graduate program teaching mission, and to participate in instruction in our veterinary medicine program.

Minimum Requirements:
Relevant/Preferred Experience

  • Evidence of teaching excellence using active learning methods in both small and large group settings is highly desirable.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated ability to teach multiple areas of physiology as well as pharmacology.

Salary and Rank:
This is a full-time, 9-month academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer, with an expectation of teaching up to three 3-credit hour courses per semester, depending upon other assigned duties. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
