The Department of Molecular Biomedical Sciences invites applications for a state funded tenure track position at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR level in PHARMACOLOGY. The MBS Department is seeking a new pharmacology faculty member who will complement the pharmacokinetic, pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic, and drug disposition expertise of existing faculty. The candidate should be active in the fields of pharmacogenomics and drug metabolism or disciplines such as metabolomics and modeling of systems (for example, in silico modeling or organoid technology), that contribute to these areas.

The new faculty member will be expected to establish an independent research program and actively participate in the veterinary and graduate teaching programs. This position will have the opportunity to complement, and collaborate with, the existing pharmacology faculty in the college, and participate in the NC State Comparative Medicine Institute (CMI), located on the veterinary college campus. The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to interact with clinical faculty in a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital and outstanding research faculty affiliated with pharmacology. The specific teaching requirements will be tailored to the expertise of the individual and the needs of the college.

The College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University is one of the topranked veterinary colleges in North America. The Molecular and Biomedical Sciences Department is the primary department on campus performing research on biomedical approaches to therapy in animals and humans. North Carolina State University and the surrounding area have many enriching opportunities.
