Position Title: Clinical Instructor of Clinical Pathology Department: Pathobiology/College of Veterinary Medicine
Status: Full-Time

Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities:
Interpreting diagnostic clinical pathology data in consultation with the clinical pathologist
Writing and editing cytology and hematology reports
Teaching veterinary, graduate and undergraduate students
Operation of diagnostic machinery and running of routine and special tests in the Clinical Pathology Laboratory
Provide scientific guidance and leadership to the Department of Pathobiology
Other duties may be assigned by the Clinical Pathologist on duty
Participation in scholarly works, including weekly rounds and the possibilities of research and publications
Qualifications:
Degree in veterinary medicine (DVM, VMD, or equivalent)
Minimally one year of experience in Clinical Pathology with the desire to attain board certification or board eligibility in the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) or the European College of Veterinary Pathologists (ECVP)
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, evidence of effective teamwork, and a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community
The chosen candidate for the position will not be required, but encouraged to pursue Alabama veterinary licensure through the Alabama Board of Veterinary Examiners
The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time of appointment and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment
