Veterinarian with advanced training in Dentistry and Oral Surgery. Board certification by the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) is required by the date of appointment. PhD or advanced training in research is preferred but not required. Clinical experience and competence dentistry and oral surgery is required. Demonstrated aptitude and experience in teaching is preferred. Documented research record or potential to develop an independent research program is required; an emphasis in periodontology, endodontology and/or oral medicine is desired. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others in a collegial team atmosphere.

A valid license to practice veterinary medicine in California is required before employment begins (California Business and Professions Code Section 4846-4857). Individuals without a full California license must obtain a University License (California Business and Professions Code Section 4848.1) by the time of appointment.
