The Department of Clinical Sciences at Colorado State University seeks applications for a 12-month tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Small Animal Orthopedic Surgery.
The Small Animal Orthopedic Surgery position is responsible for the orthopedic surgical management of the small animal caseload at the VTH. Specifically, this position provides surgical consultations, manages surgical appointments (receiving), performs orthopedic surgery and teaches on the clinic floor. This position will support both clinical and didactic teaching in the DVM program, graduate student/resident and fellow training, and research in the area of small animal orthopedic surgery. The position also supports an important clinical service in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) both in terms of client service and revenue generation. This faculty position will provide 18-22 weeks of clinical service. Additionally, we expect the successful candidate will develop an independent impactful research program and participate in collaborative research. Numerous opportunities for collaborative research exist throughout the college and university.
