In addition, we are rapidly building up a clinical trials program and have clinical and laboratory support staff that are equipped to facilitate additional clinical trials. We are also members of the Comparative Oncology Trials Consortium (COTC). We're excited to add another faculty member to our dynamic group!

We strive to create and maintain a diverse and inclusive environment for faculty, students, and staff to thrive in. Our mission and strategic plan include pillars in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our LSU SVM Diversity Office provides support for the mission and facilitates the objectives of our mission through personal development programs for our entire community. All of our students receive DEI education within the curriculum. We currently have the most diverse staff, second most diverse faculty, and a student body that has grown from 7% to 30% underrepresented minorities within the last five years. Our SVM leaders in the Diversity Office are members of the diversity committees of two national organizations, the AAVMC and the SEVEC (southeast veterinary education consortium) and the SVM diversity committee is driven by the faculty, students, and staff of the school.
