We are dedicated to building a premier team of world-renowned clinicians, educators, and researchers to provide an elite healthcare experience in Louisiana and the region. We are seeking our next Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Radiation Oncology. Come work in a vibrant academic oncology program in one of the country’s most diverse and thriving Veterinary Schools! Louisiana State University has an open clinical or tenure-track faculty position for a Radiation Oncologist to join our team of two medical oncology faculty, one radiation oncology faculty, four residents (three medical oncology and one radiation oncology), and five full-time oncology nurses. We have a busy combined clinical service that is supported by a comprehensive diagnostic imaging service, specialty surgeons, clinical pathologists, and a full complement of specialty services. Our 21EX linear accelerator with on-board imaging including cone beam CT is capable of SRT, IMRT, 3D conformal, and electron radiation treatments. We also have a strontium probe. In addition, we are rapidly building up a clinical trials program and have clinical and laboratory support staff that are equipped to facilitate additional clinical trials. We are also members of the Comparative Oncology Trials Consortium (COTC). We're excited to add another faculty member to our dynamic group!

We strive to create and maintain a diverse and inclusive environment for faculty, students, and staff to thrive in. Our mission and strategic plan include pillars in diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our LSU SVM Diversity Office provides support for the mission and facilitates the objectives of our mission through personal development programs for our entire community. All of our students receive DEI education within the curriculum. We currently have the most diverse staff, second most diverse faculty, and a student body that has grown from 7% to 30% underrepresented minorities within the last five years. Our SVM leaders in the Diversity Office are members of the diversity committees of two national organizations, the AAVMC and the SEVEC (southeast veterinary education consortium) and the SVM diversity committee is driven by the faculty, students, and staff of the school.

LSU has openings for clinical or tenure-track, and professional-track radiation oncologists.
