Job Description Summary
The Assistant Professor (tenure track) of Small Animal Orthopedic Surgery in the Department of Clinical Sciences at Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine will teach courses in Clinical Sciences, provide clinical service and instruction, didactic and laboratory teaching, research, outreach, and service. Instructional responsibilities include teaching professional veterinary students and veterinarians (interns and residents) in postgraduate training programs related to orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. Distribution of duties: 65% teaching, 30% clinical, 3% university services, and 2% outreach.

Requires DVM or foreign equivalent; and minimum of 36-month training/ residency in animal surgery at time employment begins. In lieu of 36-month Animal Surgery training/ residency, employer will accept Diplomat Status in the American College of Veterinary Surgeons or European College of Veterinary Surgeons.
