A post-doctoral position is available at the UC Davis Veterinary Medicine Teaching and Research Center (VMTRC) in Tulare, CA at the Dairy Epi Lab researching the epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance in dairy cattle. This position will provide education and training opportunities in quantitative epidemiology. The qualified candidate should have a PhD degree in epidemiology, biostatistics or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in machine learning. Applicants with a PhD in statistics or mathematics with interest in expanding their career to epidemiology will be considered.

The post-doc position involves design and implementation of research projects on dairies and/or analysis of dairy records and hence a DVM degree or equivalent is preferred.

In addition to proficiency in written and oral English, the successful candidate is expected to have excellent communication skills and capable of working with a multi-disciplinary team of veterinarians, extension specialists, producers, residents and graduate and undergraduate students.

The position is available immediately for one year with the possibility of renewal contingent on performance and funding.
