A postdoctoral position is available in the Innate Immunity, Inflammation, and Toxicology Laboratory of the Department of Comparative Biomedical Sciences, School of Veterinary Medicine at Louisiana State University to study the mechanisms of regulation of inflammation in immune-mediated diseases, metabolic syndrome, and cancer.
Perform laboratory physical activities including lab research, transporting animals on cart, working in animal facility with mask on, data storage and data analysis, writing manuscripts, preparing and presenting results in seminars and meetings, and other duties as assigned.
Specific Degree: Doctoral degree, PhD or equivalent, DVM, MD, in Biomedical, Biological, or related field
1 year of biomedical research experience
Experience in mouse colony management, genotyping, mouse models of inflammatory disease, cell culture, primary cell isolation, molecular biology and immunology techniques, including PCR, RT-PCR, immunoblotting, Gel electrophoresis, cytokine estimation, and protein, RNA, and DNA work preferred.
Special or Physical Qualifications:
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
