The University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine (vetmed.illinois.edu) is seeking an individual to provide professional student education as a Lecturer with appointments in the Department of Pathobiology (vetmed.illinois.edu/path) and the Clinical Skills Learning Center (vetmed.illinois.edu/cslc). This full-time appointment is 9-month, non-tenure track, with an anticipated start date on or about August 16, 2022. Salary is commensurate with experience.

The successful candidate will join an interactive team engaged in supporting the second-year veterinary professional degree curriculum with instructional activities including assessments of student success and learning outcomes. Courses include, but are not limited to, VM607 (Microbiology and Parasitology), VM605 (General Pathology and Immunology), VM608 (Systems Pathology), and VM606 (Clinical Skills).  Responsibilities include serving as a liaison for students, leading student participation in problem solving activities, classroom/laboratory instruction, and assisting faculty with examinations. The minimum qualification is a DVM, MD, or PhD. Graduate training in biomedical sciences, education and/or clinical experience, and familiarity with learning management systems is desirable.
