This is an entry level laboratory worker position. Employees perform a variety of routine laboratory tasks under the direct supervision of a scientist or senior lab technician.
Applicant must have basic computer literacy skills and be familiar with analyzing data in Microsoft Excel.
Requires animal training course provided by the university. Employees will need a brief period of on-the-job training to learn the basic aspects of the job.
Applicants need not have job-related experience; however, previous experience in lab technologies, animal behavior, or neuroanatomy would be helpful. In particular, previous experience with animal handling and or behavioral testing is preferred.
Handling Lab animals, typically Mice and Rats.
40 hours per week, days only (no evenings), may require some weekend days, also.
