The Diagnostic Pathology Service at New Bolton Center (NBC), Department of Pathobiology, University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine invites applicants having interest and experience in mammalian and avian wildlife species for a lecturer position in Anatomic Pathology. The Anatomic Pathology Service at NBC located in Kennett Square, PA, is integrated with the Pennsylvania Animal Diagnostic Laboratory Service (PADLS), a tripartite animal diagnostic laboratory system funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and accredited by the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnostics (AAVLD). In addition to providing diagnostic services for PennVet’s Widener hospital, the PADLS laboratory services the agricultural community and Game Commission in Pennsylvania, as well surrounding states. This Anatomic Pathology position is to provide skillful interpretation of lesions in a wide range of species, including wildlife and exotics (avian and mammalian), livestock (horses, cattle, small ruminants, camelids, poultry), companion animals (dogs and cats), and laboratory animals. The position also requires clinical training of veterinary and postdoctoral students in large animal pathology. Applicants must have a DVM/VMD degree, ACVP board certification, and expertise in diagnostic animal pathology, including wildlife. Excellent communication and writing skills are required. Salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s training and experience.
