Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
Participate in classroom, clinical and laboratory instruction of veterinary students, graduate students, interns and veterinarians.
Participate in the provision of clinical pathology laboratory services to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital and external clients.
Supervise and train technicians and students as required.
Demonstrate creative scholarship through independent and/or collaborative research and publish the results of research findings in reputable scientific and/or professional journals.
Submit research and/or contract proposals to intramural and extramural funding sources.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the Department Head and Dean of the college.
He/she should have the DVM or equivalent degree.
Completed a residency in Clinical Pathology. Board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists is highly desired. Board-eligible applicants will be considered.
The PhD degree highly desirable.
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work with others in a collegial team environment.
