  • Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Veterinary Diagnostic Toxicology

    The Department of Veterinary Science at the University of Kentucky is seeking applicants for a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in the field of clinical veterinary diagnostic toxicology at the UKVDL. The primary responsibility of this position is the provision of veterinary diagnostic toxicology service for the animal industry in Kentucky. The animal industries served by the UKVDL include a large internationally-distinguished equine industry in central Kentucky and substantial beef cattle operations statewide in addition to a variety of other food animals, wildlife, and pet species. The successful individual will oversee the operation of the Toxicology Section to meet the quality standards required for AAVLD accreditation. The individual will be required to develop an effective working relationship with livestock producers and veterinarians within the state and with the other faculty at the UKVDL and the broader Department of Veterinary Science. The individual will be expected to serve on appropriate departmental, college, and university committees as assigned. The Distribution of Effort will be approximately 90% Service and 10% Research.
