Expertise: My research focuses on characterizing the interactions between mosquito-borne viruses and their vectors. The long-term objective of my research is to determine mechanisms that are responsible for the emergence of mosquito-borne viruses in nature and mechanisms that lead to the attenuation of virulent viruses.
