My research focus is on canine stifle and elbow. I am interested in biomechanics and kinematics of canine stifle and different surgical techniques used for stabilization of cranial cruciate ligament deficient-stifle. Concurrent meniscal tears are very common in dogs with CCL disease. I am also looking at different approaches and techniques and their accuracy at diagnosing meniscal tears in dogs. One of my long-term goals is to establish a canine meniscal tissue bank at Louisiana State University for meniscal transplant in dogs. I am also interested in evaluating new and minimally invasive techniques for elbow arthritis in dogs. Currently I am evaluating Safety and Efficacy of 117m Sn Colloid (radioactive colloid) for Treatment of Canine Osteoarthritis. My clinical interests are: Orthopedic surgery, Knee stabilization surgeries, total joint replacement, fracture repair, soft tissue surgery, thoracic surgery, minimally invasive surgery (arthroscopy, laparoscopy), neuro surgery and reconstructive surgery.
