Expertise: Pathogen detection tools, study novel vaccine development to overall
animal or environmental assessment to determine sources of major foodborne pathogens to curtail preharvest food
contamination. In addition, I am working in collaboration with engineering departments to use nanoparticles for
pathogen concentration from different food matrixes. The latter study also includes testing biodegradable
packaging materials to limit food contamination during shelf life in stores.
