Expertise: Despite the availability of a number of vaccines and therapy against infectious diseases,
there is a global need for vaccines and therapeutic agents. To this effect, we have been
working for several years on a class of bacterial toxins and peptides that could
potentially act against major pathogens. We are investigating mechanisms that underlie
their effects on the host and pathogens.
