Expertise: My interests lie in teaching a new generation of veterinarians the importance of microbiology. My research spans the fields of veterinary microbiology and molecular biology, and includes: antimicrobial resistance with a focus on multidrug-resistant (MDR) Escherichia coli and Enterobacter spp. and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus; the development of novel therapies for MDR infections; infectious diseases of wildlife; bovine and porcine respiratory disease; and reproductive diseases in mares and poultry
