Position: Clinical Instructor of Small Animal Emergency/Critical Care Location: College of Veterinary Medicine- Clinical Sciences (Small Animal Medicine)

Status: Full Time

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in the tripartite mission of teaching, and service (limited emphasis on research)
Participate in clinical and laboratory instruction and supervision for veterinary students and interns
Participate in innovative teaching and service programs to enhance the Department and the College
Participate in providing client services to the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital (VMTH), with emphasis on, but not limited to Small Animal Emergency/Critical Care
Participate in community outreach service activities
Scholarship and Professional Development: The faculty member is encouraged to pursue clinical research and professional development
Serve on College and University committees
Perform other duties as assigned


DVM, or equivalent degree and successful completion of a rotating internship program is preferred; candidates with more than 3 years of clinical emergency experience will be considered
Must have clinical experience and documented competency in small animal medicine and surgery
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must have a demonstrated ability of working with others in a collegial team environment
