  • Veterinary Anesthesia Term Clinical Lecturer
    Small Animal Clinical Sciences, Western College of Veterinary Medicine

    Applications are invited from qualified individuals for a 3-year term full time clinical lecturer position (with potential for renewal) in Veterinary Anesthesia in the department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences.  This position will have a 75% clinical commitment and its primary focus will be the clinical teaching of undergraduate and graduate veterinarians in veterinary anesthesia. Together with undergraduate and graduate veterinarians, they will provide anesthesia service.  In collaboration with the three faculty in this discipline, this individual will incorporate recent disciplinary advances and advance the skills of undergraduates, graduates, and technical staff.  For 25% of their time, this individual will participate in teaching veterinary anesthesia to undergraduates and graduate students as assigned.  They will aid in the teaching and certification of clinical skills in the discipline and deliver continuing education.   They will participate in the development of learning materials in collaboration with the faculty and participate in relevant service administration.  The successful applicant must be passionate about their discipline and able to communicate effectively, work collegially, and collaborate with people of diverse backgrounds.

    We are seeking candidates who have a DVM degree or its equivalent and are eligible for a general license to practice veterinary medicine in Saskatchewan.  The successful candidate must have completed a ACVAA or ECVAA approved residency and be eligible to sit the certifying examination.  Interest and experience with exotic pets are desirable.  A demonstrated interest in teaching is required. 


    Salary bands for this position for the 2024-2025 academic year are as follows:

    Lecturer: $89,983 to $131,599
